Cost Efficient IT

Owning and maintaining IT infrastructure can cost a significant amount of money. At Syllogy Networks we like to offer our customers tips on how to reduce the cost of their IT infrastructure. Here are a few tips.

How to reduce the overall cost of a network upgrade project.

If your organization outsources its network maintenance needs look to Syllogy Networks to supply the hardware needed for the job. Most network maintenance companies would quote escalated prices for IT hardware. These maintenance companies are not in the business if reselling IT hardware and therefore do not offer the best possible pricing on hardware. To reduce the cost of the network upgrade, split the network upgrade job into a 2-tier project. Syllogy Networks will supply the hardware at our always low prices while the maitenance company puts the hardware into service.

Buying pre-owned or new open box hardware.

When your budget is tight, consider buying pre-owned, new open box or even new surplus equipment. Pre-owned equipment is hardware that has previously been put into service. With pricing on pre-owned hardware ranging anywhere from 50% - 70% less than new retail pricing, you can maintain a solid network infrastructure affordably. Our pre-owned equipment is put through testing, cleaned and packaged in-house and made ready for delivery. All pre-owned equipment comes with a 1-year replacement warranty. New open box (NOB) hardware offers an extra level of confidence to our customers. NOB hardware is new in open manufacturer's packaging; it's as good as new, pricing ranges anywhere from 30% - 50% less than new retail pricing. All NOB hardware comes with a 1-year replacement warranty. New surplus hardware is new and factory sealed, these items are typically aquired from clients who have surplus equipment left over from projects. Pricing ranges anywhere from 10 - 20% less than new retail pricing. We offer options to our customers who have the luxury of making choices based on  their budget.
